NBBS Proper is the community which consists of the tail end of North Bay Boulevard street, including the community heading West towards the sea. It measures 76.56 hectares which require_onces the new reclaimed land now called Navotas Fishport.
In the 1960’s, the sea had been the primary source of income for most families. It provided plenty of fish, food, and job opportunities enough for a small family to survive. The 1970’s marked the most pivotal development in Navotas when President Marcos started to reclaim lands to build the Philippine Fishport Authority, the biggest port in Asia at that time. It was when NBBS Proper's scope became wider, and the birth of Sitio Sto. Nino and Sitio Puting Bato took place.
In 1995, the original tenants of the Barangay spearheaded the request to apply for their land titles. After a long process and some hiccups, in 2002, 700 families were awarded their land titles following Proclamation 255.
